Domestic violence affects all people, crossing racial, ethnic, and gender boundaries.  All people are affected by it, emotionally or physically, however, young girls are especially at risk.  Domestic violence thrives when people are silent. The journey is tough, but it is made easier with the help of loved ones and proper support resources. 


To encourage and empower the women in our community seek help and talk about their situations the South Brunswick Commission on Women holds an awareness event and walk each year during which we collect items donated directly to the shelters who provide services to survivors.
